Making the world a better place through fine art paintings.
Pat Margis has always been an artist, selling her first painting at 10 years old. Early on, she developed a deep appreciation for the beauty of landscape while spending her summers at the Alfred Stieglitz, Georgia O’Keeffe estate, called Oaklawn, in upstate New York.
Later, she traveled through Europe taking in the fine art scene. She acquired a degree in fine art and then went on to work commercially as an artist. There was great creative fun in the commercial world but, of course, fine art has always been her first love. She remarks that it’s like coming home.
Currently, she paints mostly in the style of Dream Realism and displays her paintings in museums, galleries, businesses and homes. She likes to incorporate unusual visuals to get her ideas across while keeping her messaging neutral to positive in their nature. It’s her way of uplifting her life and possibly others.
“I have always tried to hide my efforts and wished my works to have a light joyousness of springtime which never lets anyone suspect the labors it has cost me.” – Henri Matisse
